On January 31, 2009 UGRAD and Muskie alumni participated in debates on the topic "Bologna Process - Opening Academic Borders?" organized by IREX and the UGRAD Alumni Steering Committee

The TEA Alumni Conference took place in Kyiv on Nov.29, 2008 at the Hotel Bratislava. About 50 people, including 41 TEA alumni, IREX staff, and guest speakers, participated in the conference.Conference participants were representatives from different parts of Ukraine.

Recently-returned Muskie alumni who began their fellowships in 2006 and 2007 were invited to a one-day re-entry workshop at the Premier Palace Hotel in Kyiv on October 4, 2008.

On September 27-28, in the quiet setting of Pushcha Ozerna sanitorium outside of Kyiv, ECA focused on the needs of youth in their communities: how to assess needs, motivate youth, and manage projects.

On Aug 30-31, 2008 20 ECA alumni attended a seminar on fundraising and grant-writing in Kyiv.
The training was conducted by Randal Mason, an independent trainer, facilitator, and fundraising consultant, who has over 15 years of experience working in and supporting the nonprofit sector.
