Alumni Sharpen Interview and Job Hunting Skills through Seminar
On Saturday, April 11, twenty Muskie and UGRAD alumni attended this alumni event at the IREX office in Kyiv. The first part of the seminar was conducted by Dr. Perry Kolodzy, a professor of business communication and organizational behavior at the International Christian University in Kyiv. Dr. Kolodzy is also a CPA (Certified Public Accountant). Special attention was devoted to all stages of a job interview, including preparation, participation, and “must-do’s” after the interview. |

Orphans Enjoy Acting In a Play Directed by UGRAD Alumni
 During the month of March, children of the Lviv City Orphanage # 1 rehearsed a folk Ukrainian tale “Koza Dereza.” The play was directed by Natalia (Kuryliak) Pratsiovyta and Marta Vynnytska, UGRAD alumni 2003-2004. In the photo: Natalia (Kuryliak) Pratsiovyta with the actors/scenes from the play.

IREX President Robert Pearson Observes IREX-Ukraine Programs in Action
 New IREX president Robert Pearson, who started full-time on January 1, 2009,
visited the IREX/Ukraine office in Kyiv and observed IREX's activities in
Ukraine from April 1 to April 3, 2009. President Pearson also met with
Muskie, TEA, and UGRAD alumni while on his tour.

 Professional trainer and psychologist Anna Rymarenko was invited on March 21, 2009, to conduct a training for Muskie and UGRAD alumni on “Balancing Personal and Professional Lives” at the new IREX office in Kyiv. |

On February 21, 2009 the workshop entitled "Rules for Communication with the Media" was held for Muskie and UGRAD alumni at the Alumni Resource Center in Kyiv. |
